  751st Tank Battalion

In Tribute to the Men of the
751st Tank Battalion

Picture
The purpose of this website is to honor the men of the 751st Tank Battalion who participated in the North African and Italian campaigns of World War II.  The nature of battalions like the 751st--that is, units who were never officially a part of a division, but rather were “attached” to numerous divisions throughout the war--has nearly rendered them to the dust bin of history.  The 751st participated in seven major campaigns during the war and racked up 581 days of combat time, yet they are rarely mentioned in the histories of these campaigns.   Since my father, Paul Neumiller, was a member of this unit, I have had a lifelong interest in the battalion.
